I never to this day understood the extreme venom liberals have towards Sarah Palin. She's harmless. A nobody. Didn't do anything nor will she in the future. Yet they make her out to be the great Satan. The only theory that I can come up with was when she was first announced to the world she took them by surprise and since they didn't have any talking points OPs against her initially they were terrified. For that first week she was there she electrified the crowd and she could single handily stop Obama. Then the smear came and the rest was history. Now they want to keep her down at all times so she can never ascend to the level she was once at. Makes sense?

Look to PMs before like Martin and Chretien who have been in the center of power since the 70's or 80's. Their corruption and incompetence probably destroyed a candidate from the capital/position of power for a few more years.

The draw of the outsider is the perceived ability to shake things up and reset the status quo. The reality is someone picked a person outside the inner circle of the chosen to seem that their was a power shift from the center to the outside. They have the connections because those that chose them won't let them fuck up unless they are to be sacrificed.

As one of the closest on TNE to being a liberal, I'll say I have venom towards Palin because she's a petty small town soccer mom who is probably going to be our next president, and is bringing us one big step closer to "Idiocracy." She will still be Tweeting as president, mark my word, and she'll be the first "reality show President."
